Background and Objective:
Each year, the FLC MAR holds
an annual meeting to share
success stories, network,
and conduct
cross-institutional
education in the arena of
technology transfer,
licensing, partnering and
commercialization. The
meeting is designed to be
useful to Federal, industry,
academic and economic
development practitioners.
The FLC MAR is mindful that
professionals in this field
may have backgrounds and
interests that are primarily
marketing, technical, legal,
administrative or some
combination of these
disciplines.
The event will be an
excellent opportunity to
meet and network with top
technology transfer
professionals in the Federal
government. Most of the
different Federal agencies
will be represented.
Networking opportunities
this year will be enhanced
because we were able to
reserve the entire
conference center,
minimizing potential
distractions.
Please join us for
networking and technology
transfer presentations: This year, we are planning panel sessions and events that
include:
-
Patent Reporting,
Processing and Marketing
-
Legislative Issues
Affecting Tech Transfer
-
Federal Labs and USPTO:

-

to both novices and those
already seasoned in the
field. This session ($40

on Monday, Oct 22, will
focus on E-tools of the
trade, IP valuation
techniques and interactive
case studies. Continuing
Education Units (CEU) will
be offered.
You will not want to miss
the reception Monday
evening. Arrive hungry and
with a pocket full of
business cards.
Tuesday, Oct 23 will be
filled with a full roster of
presentations and networking
opportunities. The evening
dinner will feature a
keynote speaker and the hot
technologies/hot partnering
contests.
Wednesday morning
presentations will be
followed by the annual
awards luncheon and
adjournment at 1:30. The
afternoon of the 24th
is left open this year to
give attendees more
opportunities to network on
their own and to explore the
amenities of the Eastern
Shore and the quaint town of
St. Michaels.
