The nomination period for the 2011 FLC Mid-Atlantic Regional Awards has ended. Winners will be announced around August 22, 2011.
The FLC Mid-Atlantic Regional Awards Program annually recognizes federal laboratories and their industry partners for outstanding technology transfer efforts in the following categories:
Award for Excellence in Technology Transfer — recognizes laboratory employees, and their partners, who have accomplished outstanding work in the process of transferring federally developed technology to the marketplace.
Service Award — recognizes significant contributions to the FLC MAR. Awards are presented in two categories:
Representative of the Year Award — recognizes an FLC MAR Representative who has made the most significant contribution to the FLC MAR program in the past year
Outstanding Service Award — recognizes an individual who is not an FLC MAR Representative or Alternate for a notable contribution to the FLC MAR in terms of sustained support and/or service.
Interagency Partnership Award — recognizes the efforts of agency and/or laboratory employees from at least two different agencies who have collaboratively accomplished outstanding work in the process of transferring a technology.
Laboratory Director of the Year Award — recognizes a Laboratory Director who has made outstanding contributions to support technology transfer activities in her/his organization and the communities he/she serves.
Outstanding Technology Transfer Professional Award — recognizes the efforts of a technology transfer professional (or team) who has demonstrated outstanding work in transferring a technology in a manner significantly over and above what was called for in the normal course of their work.
- Educational Institution and Federal Laboratory Partnership Award — recognizes the efforts of federal science and technology employees and educational institutions in the region who have collaboratively accomplished outstanding work in the process of transferring a technology.
