Presenting Energy Technologies Available From Federal Labs
October 1, 2008 -- CIT Building, Herndon, VA
The Federal Lab Consortium (FLC), the Center
for Innovative Technology (CIT), and the Fairfax County Economic
Development Authority (FCEDA) are proud to bring you this special
forum.
The goal of this forum is to provide an opportunity for interaction
in the field of renewable energy that can lead to licenses,
partnerships, collaborations, etc. Content of this forum will be
ideal for those involved in solar energy, wind energy,
wave/marine-based energy, geothermal, advanced battery development
and other energy storage devices, photovoltaic technology, advanced
carbon-negative bio-fuels, energy efficiency technologies such as
data center efficiency, green building technologies, etc.
This forum intends to attract small and large businesses involved
with renewable energy technology, federal agency & lab
representatives, venture capital firms targeting this sector, and
representatives of various regional, state, and/or university based
renewable energy initiatives who are interested in forging
transactions.
Highlights Include:
- Morning Keynote, Aneesh Chopra,
Virginia’s Secretary of Technology
- Presentations from DOE, NAVY, NIST, and
NASA on renewable energy technologies that have
been developed and are available for licensing or partnerships.
- Displays from the lab presenters and
industry will allow for meaningful discussions on the
various technologies available and encourage collaborative
efforts.
- A discussion on the processes and
vehicles available for tech transfer/collaborations
between Federal labs and industry will also be featured.
- Funding available to further support
energy research initiatives.
